Sittingbourne Photographic Society is a member of the Kent County Photographic Association through which we affiliate to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, the national organisation for camera clubs.

As a club we aim to promote photography in all aspects of the art through regular meetings, lectures, competitions, exhibitions, practical workshops and outings. Through these events we can educate ourselves and others in a diverse way in the techniques of photography whether it be in digital or the more traditional wet darkroom. Members of the Society also provide judges and lecturers for other clubs, throughout the county and beyond, to benefit from our expertise.

As a very successful club we have, in the past, won the county's top competitions numerous times and represented Kent, and the former Central Association, in National competitions. At our most successful we have achieved Third place in the country through the Photography Monthly Magazine's Club Challenge and Seventh in Great Britain in the inter-club championships, with only two clubs in Kent achieving higher places.

Our successes have been due to a dedicated group of photographers who enjoy sharing their hobby with others.
